Geraldine Molloy Obituary

Geraldine F. ‘Gerry’ (Lambert) Molloy, 87, formerly of Southborough and West Boylston MA, died on January 26, 2022 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Josephine (Carty) Lambert. She was the wife of the late Martin J. (Joe) Molloy for 45 years. A 1956 graduate of Emmanuel College, she retired from Southborough’s public schools as a library aide in 1992. During retirement, she enjoyed her Emmanuel and Hillside Village book clubs, arts and crafts and Red Hat club events. She was a lector at St. Anne’s (Southborough) and Our Lady of Good Counsel (West Boylston) for many years.

Gerry is survived by her children, Trish McManus and her husband Patrick of Charlton; Paul  Molloy and his wife Christine of Westborough; Joseph Molloy and his wife Callie of Sherwood OR; and her daughter in  law, Karen Molloy.  She is also survived by five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her a daughter, Kathleen Molloy, a son, Kevin Molloy and daughter-in-law, Michele (Charpentier) Molloy.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 2, at 10:30am at St. Anne’s Church, 20 Boston Road, Southborough. Burial will follow in Southborough Rural Cemetery.

 There will be no calling hours.

 In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a women’s and children’s shelter of your choice.
