Alesia Leigh Ventura-Large of Marlborough, MA passed away surrounded by her family on July 26th, 2025. She was born in Worcester on March 23rd, 1967, to the late Robert Lane and her mother, Beverly Rice. Beloved wife of John B. Large, Alesia was all about her family; her mom, Beverly, and stepdad, David Rice, brother Michael Ventura, and sister Pam Johnson, her brother-in-law Daryn, sister-in-law Stephanie, brother-in-law Dave Deforges, brother-in-law Henry Large, sister-in-law Bridget Large, and sister-in-law Storm Large. She often referred to her nieces and nephews as "all my babies"; Angela Cooley and husband Brandon, children Aaron, Bryce and Brooklyn, Andrew Ventura and his fiancé Stephanie, Anthony Ventura and his fiancé Nina Campbell, Katie Ventura, Devin Deforges, Fifi Deforges, Hailey Johnson, Casey Johnson and her fiancé, Jermaine, and Trey Johnson. There are enumerable adopted nieces and nephews as well as aunts and uncles and her friends were, and still are, regarded as family. Finally, her rescue babies, Harry Cat and Marty Blacktail Cat.
Encapsulating Alesia is next to impossible. She was a true force of nature. She loved fiercely, completely and courageously. She was loyal, faithful, honest, true, big hearted, larger than life. She lit up every room she ever walked into with her smile and her sweet and positive vibes. She shined and sparkled like the starriest night. She was a healer, and an accomplished artist with a bachelor's degree in art from Clark University. Together with her husband John, a priest, helped countless people with a variety of troubles. She was beautiful, intelligent, witty, had a keen sense of humor, intuitive, powerful, a green thumb, bewitching and witchy, kind, amazing, positive, understanding, caring and very outgoing. Alesia spread love everywhere she ever went. She was an Angel on this Earth and is now an Angel in the hereafter, still healing, still caring, and forever loving.
There will be a service and life celebration for Alesia held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Beechwood Hotel, 363 Plantation St. in Worcester, MA at 11:00 AM in the chapel followed by a reception from 12:00 until 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers perhaps anyone who is so inclined could donate to a local pet or cat rescue shelter. Thank you.
