Douglas P. Gauvin , 66, of Worcester died on Sunday, December 26, 2021 after a period of declining health.
Born in Milford, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Dorothy Ann (Martin) Gauvin.
Doug was a member of the first graduating class of Assabett Valley Regional Vocational School in 1974 where he pursued an education in Auto Body. He worked at several area body shops, among them were 495 Truck Center of Marlborough and Ted’s of Fayville, Inc. He also owned his own landscaping company, Four Seasons of Marlborough, for several years. Doug was an avid ice hockey fan; both of the Bruins as well as coaching his son’s Triboro hockey team. He enjoyed fishing as a member of the New England Bass Master’s Assoc. and was a drag racing enthusiast at N.E. Dragway.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne Gauvin of Marlborough; his children, Andrew Gauvin of Shelton, CT; Stephanie Gauvin of Palm Harbor, FL and his grandson, Austen J. Cranston.
Doug is pre-deceased by his sister Candace Jeanne (Gauvin) Daly.
Visiting hours held on Tuesday, January 4, 2021 from 5 to 7pm at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough.
Funeral and burial will be private.
