Raised in Southborough and was very proud of her roots. Her roots date back to the Johnson family farm, which started as a land grant dated back in 1640.  She worked for Honeywell Information Systems where she met her husband until she had her children. Barbara became a stay at home mom once her sons were born, and enjoyed every minute with them. Barbara loved traveling, Pilates, crossword puzzles, the beach, wine and eating oysters.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons, Timothy and his wife, Priscila; Mark and his wife, Cait; Sean and his wife, Stephanie; and  Emma Marie, the dog. She was the proud grandmother of River, JJ, Marin, Hawk, Adeline and Parker. Barbara also leaves her sister of Phyllis Joaquin.
