Joseph L. Lally

Joseph L. Lally, 73, of Framingham, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston after a short illness.

He was the beloved husband of Sydney (Newman) Lally for over 47 years.

Born in Cambridge, he was the only son of Mildred ((Joyce) and Joseph L. Lally. Joe was a 1966 graduate of Boston College High School and earned an associates degree at Northeastern University in Boston.
He was a chemist and started his career at Orion Research of Cambridge where he worked for many years. He also worked at a variety of other area companies before finishing his career at Medica Corp of Bedford, retiring in 2015.  Joe enjoyed playing golf, gardening and yard work.  He was a member of the Fayville Athletic Association and was an avid Celtic fan. Joe especially loved road trip vacations.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his sisters, Susan Mclaughlin and her husband Michael; Lorraine Lally; Denise Ploski and her husband Ken; his sister in law, Adele and her husband Len Lewis; several nieces and a nephew; and many good friends.

Funeral services will be private.  Joe will be buried in Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham.
