Joseph Maiorana Obituary

Joseph P. Maiorana II of Southborough, MA passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 22, 2022.

Joe would have celebrated his 36th birthday on Jan. 31 and leaves behind the family he cherished: his mother, Renee, father, Robert and sister Carolyn, along with extended family in Connecticut and New Jersey.

Joe was a Sr. Project Manager at ThinkLite Corp. and managed a range of commercial lighting projects throughout the state. A 2004 graduate of Algonquin Regional High School, he graduated from Clark University in 2008 with a BA in Communications.

Joe loved music and was convinced of its ability to calm the soul. He played both guitar and piano with passion and was a voracious reader, often dropping quotes from Hemingway, Tennessee Williams, or F. Scott Fitzgerald. He lived a lifetime in the short time shared with us. He entertained groups with his stories and energy, and was known for his smile, laughter, compassion, and kindness, as well as his heartfelt opinions. He leaves behind a legion of cherished friends with whom he shared adventures and daily life.

Joe was absolutely devoted to his rescue Rhodesian Ridgeback, Otis. They hiked the woods, went on runs, played on the beach, and fished in the "Old Salty Dog" together. Otis was his front-seat truck buddy and will sorely miss him.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, February 5, from 1 to 4 pm including a short celebration of life at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough.

In lieu of flowers, Joe would appreciate your help with gofundme to ensure his beloved Otis is happy, safe, and secure with a fenced play yard at Joe’s family home. https://gofund.me/d72a6cf8
