Ken and I were part of a big group of kids on Flagg Road who grew up together and Mrs. Laptewicz was one of the moms that watched over all of us. She was warm, welcoming and a terrific cook, her kitchen always fragrant with wonderful Italian dishes! She has a place in our hearts and heaven has a new star watching over all of us...again.
